Post race recovery

Monday is my planned rest day. Something that I greatly took after the excitement of yesterday. I thankfully didn’t have any issues with pain or soreness after yesterday’s run, minus some slight discomfort from the bee stings. The biggest factor was some degree of fatigue.

In terms of post race, next day feeling, I felt pretty good. My knee felt OK with no issues. However oddly enough as I was walking across the office my knee kind of cracked oddly and the pain returned. I’m not sure if that is the universe’s way of saying that I need to wear my running shoes all the time, an idea that I wouldn’t totally hate.

I still feel as excited about the race today as I did after the finish yesterday. I’m looking forward to washing my hoodie so that I can begin showing it off.
